Day 4
|
|
The conditions today were like some women I have known. The day began with light and hopefulness. Pilots launched, and then she quickly grew dark and stormy, denying us the lift we so desperately desired and looking like at any moment she might go completely mental and do us grave psychological and/or physical harm. The task was cancelled. Then moments after the pilots were on the ground, she got bright and sunny again, as if to say "I'm sorry, give me another chance!" But the pilots had moved on with their day, and their lives, and said "No."
